Cars & Coffee is About More Than Just the Great Cars!

John Eagle European's Car's & Coffee in the Austin area will be this Sunday, April 25 from 10 am to 2 pm. But this event is about much more than our shared automotive passion.

While many think first of the great cars, motorcycles and trucks that will be on display, its also a fantastic fund raiser for one of the Hill Country's most important causes.

Capital Area Food Bank is the official John Eagle European's Cars and Coffee - Austin in Leander charity. The Capital Area Food Bank of Texas’ mission (www.austinfoodbank.org) is to nourish hungry people and lead the community in ending hunger. The Food Bank currently provides food and grocery products to 355 Partner Agencies in 21 Central Texas counties. In 2008, CAFB distributed more than 17 million pounds of food.

We're asking you to help us support this charity by attending this weekend and doing one of the following:

1. Bringing a canned or non-perishable food items to the show; if you can't bring a canned or non-perishable food item, consider a suggested donation of $5 per person
2. Buying a cup of coffee from one of the vendors at the show to support the charity

Every $5 donation provides $25 worth of nutritious food for hungry Central Texans. So that means you could have a major impact on your community while also having a great time.

We want to try and raise $50,000 for the year to support their efforts. Once that goal is achieved, we plan to caravan down to the Food Bank and present the check. Wouldn't it be awesome for 200-300 cars and bikes to be escorted by Leander's finest down to the Food Bank on South Congress? Let's rally around them and lend a helping hand to achieve our goal! We want to show the Austin area what the car and motorcycle community is all about!!!

It all starts this Sunday with you at John Eagle European's Cars & Coffee in Leander.
